The Phantom Cat
This story was told by Joanna, who used to live in Spencer Road, just off Commonside East.

'Before we married,' said Joanna, 'Nigel found a cat's skull in the garden. He did not tell me he had it in the house.
'When I moved into the house, because of Nigel's shift work, we slept in separate rooms. He did not tell me about events. When I mentioned to him about it, he just said, "Oh, you have had it too." These events were that the weight and the pace of a cat would walk across the bed in the front bedroom. This would happen when there was no cat in the room or in the house.
'When the skull was taken out of the house, there were no more manifestations of "the cat".'
